REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

The presence of disease, injuries and ageing occurs as a result of malfunction, damage and eventual death of various cells. Research aimed at how this damage occurs, control thereof and subsequent prevention provide novel approaches and therapies to treat patients. Regenerative medicine aims to restore the normal function of various organ systems by repairing or replacing damaged cells or tissues.

In recent years, remarkable advances have been made within the field of regenerative medicine, sciences, and its applications in the technological and health sectors. These advances promise improved methods of disease diagnosis and prevention, and the successful treatment thereof. This is achieved by either employing non-biological or biological mediators which facilitate and enhance natural repair processes.
